Depending on the reported expense type and your company settings, receipt attachment can be mandatory, optional, or not requested.
A mandatory receipt attachment, depending on your company settings, can block your expense report from being submitted. You will then be requested to attach a receipt to the expense, or declare its loss, in order to be able to submit your expense report.
Receipt attachments are indicated on an expense item by different coloured icons:
A grey paper clip indicates an expense item that does not have a receipt attached.
A black paper clip indicates an expense item to which a receipt has been attached. Click the icon to view the receipt.
An orange paper clip indicates that the receipt for this expense item has been declared as lost. If the receipt is found, click the icon to attach the receipt.
A red paper clip indicates an expense item for which a mandatory receipt is missing.
Receipts are attached in the form of digital images. You can obtain a receipt image:
- directly from the tvld Expense mobile app
- from the camera of a smartphone or tablet, or from a digital camera, to a shared location (e.g. your email account) - from there you can save it to your computer's file system, where the Expense tool can access it
