Depending on the reported expense type and your company settings, receipt attachment can be mandatory, optional, or not requested.
A mandatory receipt attachment, depending on your company settings, can block your expense report from being submitted. You will then be requested to attach a receipt to the expense, or declare its loss, in order to be able to submit your expense report.
Receipt attachments are indicated on an expense item by different coloured icons:
Icon | Meaning |
---|---|

A grey paper clip indicates an expense item that does not have a receipt attached. |

A black paper clip indicates an expense item to which a receipt has been attached. Click the icon to view the receipt. |

An orange paper clip indicates that the receipt for this expense item has been declared as lost. If the receipt is found, click the icon to attach the receipt. |

A red paper clip indicates an expense item for which a mandatory receipt is missing. |
Receipts are attached in the form of digital images. You can obtain a receipt image:
- directly from the tvld Expense mobile app
- from the camera of a smartphone or tablet, or from a digital camera, to a shared location (e.g. your email account) - from there you can save it to your computer's file system, where the Expense tool can access it
