After you create an expense item, it can be changed before or after you submit the expense claim. For example, you might change certain details before submission, or an approver or accountant might change the amount authorised.
Each expense line in the expense report display has a icon, which enables you to see the audit trail, a record of the changes made:
This audit trail can be useful for you or your manager or approver, to see what was changed for an item. The audit trail can also be used by an auditor who needs to track changes made to expense claims.
Users with access to the Extraction module can also generate a report containing the expense line audit trail for all selected expense claims. For more information, see the Data Extraction help system.
