To approve cash advance requests, your administrator must grant you the appropriate approval rights. Once this is done, you receive email notifications of these requests. Connect to the Expense tool to review the requests.
Cash advance requests waiting for your approval are listed on your Home page, as well as in the Pending approval section of the Cash Advances Approvals tab on your navigation bar.
Depending on your company settings, you may be allowed to modify the proposed amount, for instance if you wish to approve an amount above or below the requested amount.
You can also delegate your approval rights to a colleague temporarily (for example, if you are out of the office for a while). See Delegating Approval Rights.
Open the request by clicking its line in the Pending approval section of the Cash Advances Approvals tab.
To approve a request, click Approve, then click Confirm on the confirmation screen.
To reject a request, click Send back. On the confirmation screen, add a reason for the rejection, then click Send back. See Rejecting a Cash Advance Request.
To modify proposed amounts before approving, click anywhere on the report line to list the expense items. Click the corresponding proposed amount field.
Enter the desired amount. All total amounts are automatically refreshed.
When you are ready, click Approve. A summary of the request pops up.
Click Confirm to confirm your approval. You will receive an approval confirmation e-mail.
