By far the easiest way to get a receipt image into the Expense tool is to use the tvld Expense mobile app.
The procedure for obtaining a receipt image via the Mobile app depends on whether your device runs under Android or iOS.
Android Devices

On your device, open the tvld Expense app.

Choose one of these options:

If you are adding a receipt to an existing draft (i.e., unsubmitted) expense report on your mobile device:

Tap Drafts.

Tap the expense report.
-
Open or add the expense item to which you are adding the receipt.

Tap Add a receipt.
-
Tap Take a picture.
-
Continue from step 6.
-

If you want to attach the receipt via the desktop application, continue with the next step.

Tap Receipts.
-
Tap
at the bottom of the screen.
-
Tap
.

Position the device so that the whole receipt is visible in the camera display, then tap the device button to take the picture.

If you need to retake the shot, tap
and reshoot, otherwise tap
.

The app identifies the edges of the receipt image with dots. If necessary, move one or more dots to exclude unwanted parts of the image.

To rotate the image, tap
.

Tap and hold the dots to reposition them so that the borders correspond to the receipt edges.

Tap
to crop the image so as to include only the area within the dots.

Complete the expense form and tap CREATE or UPDATE to save your changes.
If you added the receipt to an expense report via the mobile app, the procedure is complete.
If you followed the procedure above to attach the receipt via the desktop application, the image is stored in your receipt portfolio. Continue from Attaching a Receipt to an Expense Item.
iOS Devices

On your device, open the tvld Expense app.

Position the device over the receipt. The camera takes the shot automatically.

If you need to retake the shot, tap Back and repeat steps 3 and 4, otherwise tap Next.

On the Review screen:

To improve the image contrast, tap

If you added the receipt to an expense report via the mobile app, the procedure is complete.
