With the Travel tool, various types of user are available. As well as travellers, it’s possible to configure travel arrangers, approvers and a specialised type of user, the risk manager. The corresponding user rights are managed in the Administration tool.
The following table describes each of these types.
Type | Description |
---|---|
Traveller |
A user who plans, selects and books their own travel services. |
Arranger |
A user who plans, selects and books travel services on behalf of one or more travellers. |
Approver |
A supervisor or manager who approves the travel bookings of one or more travellers - see Approvals Tab (Travel). |
Risk manager |
A user of the optional Risk Manager add-on service, which assists with travel destinations classed as high-risk - see Risk Manager Tab. |
A traveller can have one or more arrangers (or none), and one or more approvers.
Approvers can delegate their approval rights to other users of the Travel tool. Doing so can help to ensure that approvals are still made while that approver is away from the office. See Delegating Approval Rights.
